Kalki AD 14-Day Box Office Collection Update: Prabhas-Deepika Padukone Film Rakes in ₹536.Crore

Kalki 2898 AD continues its impressive run at the box office on Day 14, marking a significant milestone as the biggest success in Amitabh Bachchan's illustrious career. The Prabhas-starrer, released in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, has amassed a domestic total of Rs 536.75 crore as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.

 

Despite a noticeable decline in collections post its second Monday, where it earned Rs 10.4 crore, the film maintained steady performance in single-digit figures through the week. On its 14th day, Kalki 2898 AD garnered Rs 7.5 crore across India, with the Hindi version contributing Rs 4.75 crore and the Telugu version Rs 1.7 crore. Hindi territories have emerged as the primary revenue source in recent days, with Rs 229.05 crore from the Hindi version and Rs 252.1 crore from the Telugu version overall.

 

The film's success extends beyond domestic shores, with producers Vyjayanthi Films claiming a global gross of Rs 900 crore by its 11th day, surpassing the lifetime earnings of Ranbir Kapoor's Animal, which grossed Rs 915 crore worldwide. This achievement positions Kalki 2898 AD as one of the standout successes of recent times.

 

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie has also elevated its lead star Prabhas's stature, although it remains second to SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2 in his career milestones. For Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Hassan, veterans of Indian cinema, Kalki 2898 AD marks their most significant box office triumph to date.

 

Looking ahead, the film faces competition from upcoming releases like Indian 2 and Sarfira, as it continues its run in theatres nationwide.
